Caley Steinert to play for St. Thomas Tommies
Caley Steinert one of the top defense in MFMHL over the past 2 seasons with the 2 time Provincial Champion Pembina Valley Hawks has commited to play for the St. Thomas Tommies commencing 2011-12. The Tommies play out of the CIS Atlantic University Sports Conference and the university is located in Fredericton New Brunswick. The Tommies have been selected to host the 2014 CIS National Championship.
Steinert played 3 seasons with the Hawks of the MFMHL and was known for her strength as a defense and her ability to play in both ends of the rink. Over her career Steinert played 108 games for the Hawks and amassed 77 points (30 goals and 47 assists). Steinert made the Top 40 Hockey Manitoba Summer Camp and was part of the 2010 Central Region Team that won the Manitoba Games.
