Defense Kate Friesen of the Pembina Valley Hawks is the MFMHL Player of the Week after she scored a goal, added 4 assists and was plus 6 during 3 Hawks wins this past week. Friesen a Grade 10 student from Altona currently has 18 points and is plus 16 in 30 games with the first place Hawks this season. Friesen plays on both the penalty kill and power play for the Hawks and is a key contributor to the Hawks being the best defensive team in the MFMHL.
