Forward Karissa Kirkup of the Westman Wildcats is the MFMHL Player of the Week after leading her team to a 2-0 series lead in their MFMHL semi-finals vs. the Winnipeg Avros by scoring 4 goals and adding 2 assists. Kirkup who hails from Virden is the Wildcats Captain and was their top scorer during the regular season and has commited to attend school at and play hockey for NCAA D1 University of Maine next season.
