Week 19 ending March 17 - Cassidy Carels - Forward - Pembina Valley Hawks

Forward Cassidy Carels of the Pembina Valley Hawks is the MFMHL Player of the Week after leading her team to a 3-1 series victory in their Best of 5 MFMHL semi-final series vs. the Central Plains Capitals by scoring 2 goals and adding 3 assists in games 3 and 4. Carels scored the series winning goal with 36 seconds left in the 3rd period of game 4 vs. the Capitals. Carels who hails from Bruxelles currently leads the MFMHL playoffs with 16 points and is the Hawks leading scorer on the season with 46 goals and 39 assist for 85 points. Carels won Gold playing Canada at the U18 World  Championships and Silver for Team Manitoba at the U18 Nationals this past year has commited to play NCAA D1 Hockey while attending school at Providence College next season.
