The first Goaltender Development Institiute (GDI) monthly award winner is Kerigan Dowhy of the Norman Wild. Dowhy has been an instrumental part of the Wild getting off to the best start in team history and currently sitting in first place overall with a 6-2-1 record in the MFMHL standings. During October Dowhy appeared in 7 of the 9 MFMHL games the WIld played recording a 4-2-1 record while registering a save % of .922 with a goals against of 3.29 while stopping 271 of 295 shots fired her way averaging 39 saves per game. Dowhy hails from The Pas and is a second year Bantam signed to the Wild's AAA Midget Program. Runner-ups for the Award were Robin Thiessen - Central Plains Capitals ( 2-1-1 record - .938 save % and 1.39 GAA) and Sky Brown (Westman Wildcats - 4-0-2 record - .936 save % and 1.74 GAA).
