Forward Jordyn Zacharias of the Winnipeg Avros is the Selkirk Source for Sports-Reebok MFMHL Player of the Week. Zacharias a Grade 12 student from Winnipeg, MB. in her first season was an impact player for the Avros as she scored 6 goals to help her team earn a split of 2 MFMHL games over the weekend. Zacharias scored 5 goals as she was the difference in her teams 7-2 win over the Eastman Selects before adding the Avros only goal in a tough 2-1 loss to the Yellowhead Chiefs. Zacharias is currently third in MFMHL scoring with 22 goals and 29 points while leading the Avros with 65 total points this season including 49 goals in 50 games played. Zacharias has committed to play NCAA DI hockey for the University of Connecticut Huskies next season but prior to this she will represent Manitoba at the 2015 Canada Winter Games U18 Championships in Prince George, BC. from February 13-22.
