Defense Ashley Murphy of the Norman Wild is the Selkirk Source for Sports-Reebok MFMHL Player of the Week.  Murphy a Grade 12 student from The Pas, MB. in her third season was an impact player for the Wild as she scored 3 goals and added 2 assists in leading the Wild to 2 victories during their 3 game weekend series with the Winnipeg Avros. Murphy  picked up 2 goals in a 4-3 win  while adding a goal and an assist in thier 5-2 victroy along with assisting on the Wild's only goal in a 4-1 loss. Murphy currently has 21 points to sit third in scoring for the Wild while being their top defense vs other teams top lines. Murhhy played for Norman in the Manitoba Winter Games and was selected to participate in Hockey Manitoba's Program of Excellence Top 40 Camp.
