Jenai Buchanan - Megan Neduzak Commit to Bisons

The MFMHL is pleased to announce that defense Jenai Buchanan and Megan Neduzak of the Pembina Valley Hawks have commited to attend school at and play hockey for the University of Manitoba commencing the 2016-17 season. The University of Manitoba is located in Winnipeg and the Bisons play in the CIS Canada West Conference. Last season the Bisons lost in the conference final.

Buchanan who hails from Crystal City Mb. is in her third season with the Hawks and has been named team captain for the upcoming season. During her career with the Hawks Buchanan has played in 193 games recording 17 goals and 49 assists. Buchanan who is known for her strong defensive play was part of the Hawks' MFMHL Championship tean in 2014 and the 2014 Team Central that earned a Silver medal at the Manitoba Winter Games earning a spot at Hockey Manitoba's Program of Excellence Top 40 Camp. This year Buchanan has taken that a step further by being selected to Team Manitoba and will attend the U18 Nationals.

Neduzak who hails from Morden Mb. is in her third season with the Hawks and has been selected as an Alternate Captain for the upcoming season. Neduzak has scored 14 goals and added 26 assists during her 185 games with the Hawks.  A solid defender who also contributes offensively Neduzak was part of the Hawks' 2014 MFMHL Championship team, earned a Silver Medal with Team Central at the 2014 Manitoba Winter Games and attended Hockey Manitoba's Program of Excellence Top 40 Camp. LIke her teammate Neduzak has raised the bar this season and has made Team Manitoba to attend the 2015 Hockey Canada U18 National Championship.

The MFMHL congratulates Jenai and Megan on their outstanding accomplishements to date during their midget careers and wishes them all the best with their future academic and hockey endeavors once at the University of Manitoba.
