Week 14 - Forward Annaliese Meier - Norman Wild

The MFMHL is pleased to announce that forward Annaliese Meier of the Norman Wild has been selected as the Reebok-Selkirk Source for Sports Player of the Week for the week ending January 8.

In three games this week Meier who hails from Stonewall was a force offensively for the Wild helping the Wild take 5 of a possible 6 points on their road trip. Meier scored both goals in a 3- 2 OT loss to the Eastman Selects on Thursday before picking up a hat trick in a 4-2 win over the Central Plains Capitals on Friday and then chipping in with an assist in a 3-0 win over the Capitals on Saturday. Meier was on the ice and a factor in 8 of the 9 goals the Wild scored over the 3 games plus was relied on for all key defensive situations in all 3 games. Meier came to the Wild part way through the season and has made a huge impact.
