For the second season in a row Westman Wildcats Forward Ashton Bell has earned the nod as the MFMHL's Most Valuable Player. After winning the newly created Top Scorer Award Bell was voted as the MVP by the league members. The voting is based on Regular Season play that saw Bell lead the MFMHL in scoring with 53 points in 22 games played, 16 points clear of any other player in the league. Bell also was tops in goals scored with 35 while her 18 assists was good for third overall in leading the Wildcats to First Place during the MFMHL regular season.
A dynamic skater and power forward who poses great puck skills Bell was named Captain for both Hockey Manitoba's U18 Provincial Team and Hockey Canada's U18 National Team that earned a Silver Medal at the IIHF World Championships.
Bell who hails from Deloraine Manitoba is a Honor Student who has committed to attend the University of North Dakota and play hockey for the Fighting Hawks commencing the fall of 2017. During her career Bell has amassed an amazing hockey resume that includes:
- 2017 IIHF U18 World Championship Silver Medal
- Selected to Team Canada/USA Series and named Team Captain 2016
- Selected to U18 Team Canada for U18 Worlds 2016
- MFMHL MVP 2016
- Attended the U18 Team Canada Selection Camp 2015 & 2016

- Team Manitoba for U18 Nationals 2015 & 2016

- Selected to Team Manitoba for Canada Winter Games 2015
- Won Gold @ Mac's Tournament 2014
- Won Gold @ Manitoba Winter Games 2014
