For the second season in a row Westman Wildcats Forward Ashton Bell has earned the nod as the MFMHL's Most Valuable Player. After winning the newly created Top Scorer Award Bell was voted as the MVP by the league members. The voting is based on Regular Season play that saw Bell lead the MFMHL in scoring with 53 points in 22 games played, 16 points clear of any other player in the league. Bell also was tops in goals scored with 35 while her 18 assists was good for third overall in leading the Wildcats to First Place during the MFMHL regular season.
A dynamic skater and power forward who poses great puck skills Bell was named Captain for both Hockey Manitoba's U18 Provincial Team and Hockey Canada's U18 National Team that earned a Silver Medal at the IIHF World Championships.
