The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Pembina Valley Hawks' Goalie Halle Oswald has been selected as the Reebok-Selkirk Source for Sports Player of the Week ending March 5. Oswald in her second season with the Hawks has been a key player in the Hawks' playoff success.  Oswald's outstanding play in the semi finals series against the Avros included 29 saves in Game 1 allowing only one goal to help the Hawks to a 2-1 win.  Oswald then went over 10 periods in games 2 and 3 without allowing a goal stopping all 84 shots fired her way to record 2-0 and 1-0 shutouts, her second and third shutouts in six games during the playoffs. Oswald was spectacular in both games however especially the clinching 1-0 double OT third game vs the Avros that saw her stop all 47 shots. Overall Oswald has a .972 Save%  and GAA of 0.78 with a 6-0 record in the playoffs.
