The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Hannah Petrie has been selected as the Reebok-Selkirk Source for Sports Player of the Week ending March 19. Petrie who hails from Carman is in her second year with the Hawks and has been a real asset both offensively and defensively. During the MFMHL final series Petrie had two game winning goals to help the Hawks to a 3-0 series sweep against the Westman Wildcats. In Game 2 Petrie scored the winning goal half way through the third period to help the Hawks to a 2-1 win. In game 3 and what would be the final game of the series Petrie was the hero of the game when she potted a goal just over 2 minutes into the second overtime to clinch the MFMHL and Provincial AAA Championship for the Hawks.
