ANDERSON COMMITS TO ACC
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Yellowhead Chiefs' defense Haylee Anderson has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Assiniboine Community College Commencing the fall of 2017. ACC will be a full member of the American College Hockey Association (ACHA) Division II next season where the Cougars will compete against teams in the northern USA. Anderson who hails from Rivers has completed her final season of midget hockey and first with the Chiefs where she was an important contributor on the blue line for Yellowhead. In 59 games Anderson scored 1 goal and added 8 assists while contributing a solid physical presence on defense all season. Anderson will represent Manitoba for the second time this spring as a member Team Manitoba for the 2017 National Aboriginal Hockey Championships.

HAMM COMMITS TO AURORA UNIVERSITY
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Eastman Selects Forward Michaela Hamm has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Aurora University commencing the 2017-18 season. Aurora University is located in Aurora, Illinois about 45 minutes west of Chicago. The Spartan’s will take part in their inaugural season next year playing in the NCAA D2-3 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.
Hamm who hails from Winnipeg, Manitoba is in her second season with the Selects and is an Honour Roll student at Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute. Hamm was an Assistant Captain for the Selects and led the team in scoring with 20 goals and 16 assists for 36 points this season. Hamm also finished the season in the top 10 in MFMHL scoring.
Hamm who is known for her hard work and tenacious play is looking forward to this opportunity to be a part of the development of a first class program at Aurora. The Spartans will play out of the beautiful Fox Valley Ice Arena and are scheduled to take part in several exciting events next year including an outdoor game against a conference rival.

DeCorby Commits to Red Deer-Frederick to ACC
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Yellowhead Chiefs' defense Sydnee DeCorby and forward Karli Frederick have committed to attend school at and play hockey for Red Deer College and Assiniboine Community College commencing the fall of 2017.
Sydnee DeCorby who hails from Binscarth will play for the Red Deer College Queens next season. Red Deer College is located in Red Deer Alberta and the Queens play in the ACAC (Alberta College Athletic Conference). DeCorby is in her third year with Chiefs and was selected as an Assistant Captain, she has been a steady defense in all three seasons. DeCorby's commitment to defense has been balanced with timely offence as DeCorby has played 180 games in a Chiefs jersey scoring 12 goals and adding 41 assists for 53 points during her midget career. DeCorby will graduate from Major Pratt School in Russell this spring and will enter open studies in her first year with a goal of enrolling in an Education degree at Red Deer in the future.
Karli Frederick who hails from Elkhorn has committed to Assiniboine Community College and will join the Cougars' hockey program at the Brandon school next fall . ACC has joined the ACHA (American College Hockey Association) commencing their first season in 2017. Frederick has been a member of the Chiefs for three seasons and has played in 186 games recording 68 points on 29 goals and 39 assists. Frederick known for her hard working style has been a workhorse for the Chiefs rarely missing a game and playing in all situations. Frederick an Honour Student will graduate from Elkhorn High School this year and plans to enter the Agribusiness program at ACC.
Both DeCorby and Frederick were key members of the Chiefs 2016 MFMHL Championship team.

FRASER COMMITS TO RED DEER-BLIGHT TO ACC
With the Capitals' Fraser and Blight announcements the MFMHL has reached 30 commitments since the beginning of the season, a great accomplishment.
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Central Plains Capitals' defense Marisa Fraser and forward Lauren Blight have committed to attend school at and play hockey for Red Deer College and Assiniboine Community College commencing the fall of 2017.
Marisa Fraser a third year defense who hails from Portage la Prairie will be playing for the Red Deer College Queens next season. Red Deer College is located in Red Deer Alberta and the Queens play in the ACAC (Alberta College Athletic Conference) and are the defending league champions. This season Fraser has been named the Capitals Captain and has displayed she is a leader both on and off the ice for the Capitals. During her career with the Capitals Fraser has played 160 games registering 44 points on 9 goals and 35 assists. Fraser is known for being a tremendous skater with an excellent shot who plays big minutes against the oppositions' top players plus is a key player on both the Capitals Power Play and Penalty Kill units. During her career Fraser has been has earned the Capitals' Most Improved Player and Coaches Awards while being a prominent player in the Capitals 2015 MFMHL Championship and Top 4 finish at the Hockey Canada Esso Cup National Championship as well as their run to a second appearance in the MFMHL Final.
Lauren Blight a first year forward hails from Oakville and will be be playing for the ACC Cougars next season. ACC is located in Brandon Manitoba and the Cougars will be commencing their first year of play in the ACHA (American College Hockey Association) starting the 2017-18 season.
Blight in her first year with the Capitals after playing two seasons of "AA" has stepped into the "AAA" Level and worked extremely hard to be an effective player for the Capitals. Blight has worked hard both on and off the ice earning both Penalty Kill and Power Play time with the Capitals as the season has progressed. Blight is hard working player in all 3 zones of the rink who possesses a great shot. To date Blight has 4 goals and 4 assists with the Capitals. Blight won a "AA" Provincial Championship prior to earning a spot this season at the "AAA" level with the Capitals.

AMY COMMITS TO MOUNT ROYAL
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Yellowhead Chiefs' forward Tatum Amy has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Mount Royal University commencing the fall of 2017. Mount Royal is located in Calgary Alberta and the Cougars play in the very competitive U-Sports (past CIS) Canada West Hockey Conference.
Amy who hails from Birtle is in her 4th season with the Chiefs and was named Team Captain for the season. Amy has played 233 games for the Chiefs in her career registering 106 goals and adding 73 assists for 179 points. Amy leads the Chiefs in scoring for the season and is currently second in MFMHL scoring. Amy has excelled at the U18 level as well making Hockey Manitoba's Program of Excellence Final Roster representing the province at Hockey Canada's 2016 U18 National Championship this past November. Amy was an integral part of the Chiefs 2015-16 MFMHL Championship team providing her team with a solid two way game and leadership by example.

DOHERTY COMMITS TO ACC
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that forward Erin Doherty of the Pembina Valley Hawks has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Assiniboine Community College (ACC) commencing the fall of 2017. ACC is located in Brandon and the Cougars will be starting play in the ACHA (American College Athletic Association) commencing next season.
Doherty will join the Cougars next season after finishing her midget career with the Hawks that will she her play in Hockey Canada's Esso Cup National Championship as the host team. Doherty hails from Morden and is known as a solid defensive forward who is utilized to shut down the oppositions top offensive players. Doherty brings a contagious work ethic to her team plus contributes offensively when needed in key situations. Doherty was part of two Bantam Provincial Championship teams plus plays softball, golf and basketball for her high school.

MUNRO COMMITS TO KINGS COLLEGE
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that forward Kellie Munro has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Kings College commencing the fall of 2017-18. King's College is located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and the Monarchs will play their initial season in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference at the NCAA D-III level commencing 2017-18.
Munro who hails from Winnipeg is known for her steady two way play, to date she has 5 points for the Selects. Munro is a Honor student and has yet to decide on a Major at school.

VANDALE COMMITS TO UPEI
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Winnipeg Avros defense Sophie Vandale has committed to attend school at and play hockey for the University of Prince Edward Island commencing the fall of 2017. UPEI is located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and the Panthers play in the AUS (Atlantic University Sport Conference).
Vandale who hails from Winnipeg currently has 5 goals and 7 assists for the Avros while providing her team with solid defensive play. In 2016 Vandale who plays a solid 200 foot game made Hockey Manitoba's Program of Excellence Top 40 Camp.

LYTTLE & NICOL COMMIT
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Yellowhead Chiefs' forward Cassidy Lyttle will attend school at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) located in Edmonton Alberta while defense Taeya Nicol has committed to Olds College located in Olds Alberta. Both Lyttle and Nicol will commence their college careers in the fall of 2017 with the Ooks and Broncos, both teams compete in the ACAC (Alberta College Athletic Conference).
Lyttle who hails from Foxwarren will graduate from Birtle Collegiate this spring and will be studying Business Administration at NAIT. Lyttle is in her third season with the Chiefs and has played in 162 games scoring 28 goals and adding 25 assists for 53 points. An assistant captain for the Chiefs this season Lyttle was selected to Hockey Manitoba's Program of Excellence roster and competed in Hockey Canada's Under 18 Nationals this past November. Lyttle is a key defensive forward for the Chiefs contributing timely offense and was an important player in their run to the 2016 MFMHL and Provincial "AAA" Championship.
Nicol who hails from Gilbert Plains is completing her second year with the Chiefs and has played both forward and defense in her midget AAA career. Nicol played her first midget season with the Norman Wild where she played 43 games scoring 2 goals and adding 3 assists. Over Nicol's two seasons with the Chiefs she has played 92 games scoring 5 goals plus adding 10 assists. Nicol is known as a physical player picking up 76 penalty minutes in 135 games in the MFMHL. Nicol earned a MFMHL and Provincial "AAA" Championship with the Chiefs in 2016. Nicol will graduate from Gilbert Plains Collegiate and plans to enter the Sports Management program at Olds College.

CULLUM COMMITS TO RED COLLEGE
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Yellowhead Chiefs forward Karissa Cullum has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Red Deer College commencing the fall of 2017. Red College is located in Red Deer Alberta and the Queens play in the ACAC (Alberta Athletic Colleges Association) and are the league's defending champions.
Cullum hails from Russell and attends high school at Major Pratt where she is a honor student and has enrolled in the Kinesiology program at Red Deer College. Cullum has played 200 games for the Chiefs in her 4 year career scoring 26 goals and adding 32 assists for 58 points. Cullum a hard working player is known for being a solid 200 foot player and was an important part of the Chiefs 2016 MFMHL Championship Team.

VALLOTTON COMMITS TO REGINA
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Westman Wildcats defense Shaelyn Vallotton has committed to attend school at and play hockey for the University of Regina commencing the fall of 2017. The University of Regina is located in Regina Saskatchewan and the Cougars play out of the very tough CIS Canada West Hockey Conference.
Vallotton who hails from Ninette is an Honor Roll student and will be pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree while attending Regina. To date this season Vallotton who is an Assistant Captain for the Wildcats has 2 goals and 11 assists in 27 games games while during the 2015-16 season in 64 games Vallotton registered 21 points (6 goals-15 assists). Known for her physical presence on the ice Vallotton has developed into a steady defender who has developed a heavy shot from the point. Vallotton's great work ethic and character are not only examples to her teammates but assisted Vollotton in making Hockey Manitoba's Top 40 Camp due to her efforts.

MEEK COMMITS TO SAIT
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Westman Wildcats forward McKenzie Meek has committed to attend school at and play hockey for the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) commencing the fall of 2017. SAIT is located in Calgary Alberta and the Trojans play in the Alberta College Athletic Conference (ACAC).
Meek attends Vincent Massey Collegiate in Brandon where she is an Honor Roll Student. Meek who is in her third season with the Wildcats played 64 games last season scoring 13 goals and adding 10 assists for 23 points while to date this season has picked up 13 points, 4 goals and 9 assists, in 29 games. Meek has a very accurate and heavy shot and is known for playing a solid 200 foot game.

BODIE COMMITS TO COUGARS
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that defense Blair Bodie of the Norman Wild has become the third player from the league to commit to attend school at and play hockey for Assiniboine Community College. ACC is located in Brandon and the Cougars will be playing in the American College Hockey Association D2 commencing next season. Bodie hails from Thompson and is a solid defensive player who will add grit and some offensive finesse to the Cougars defense. Bodie is known for her strong work ethic and tough play vs. opposition players along the boards, in open ice and in the corners. During her career with the Wild Bodie has played 120 games to date registering 13 points while being recognized with the 2016 Wild Most Dedicated Player Award and 2015 Wild Coaches Award.

ALDERSON AND HEIDE COMMIT TO ACC
Assiniboine Community College located in Brandon is commencing a full time Women's Hockey Program in the American College Hockey Association commencing the fall of 2017, the Cougars will play ACHA Division 2. The Cougars have operated as a Club Team the past several years playing exhibition games only against the Manitoba Women's Junior League located in Winnipeg, various ACHA programs plus competing in Hockey Manitoba's Senior Womens Provincial Championships.
This a tremendous opportunity for female hockey players in Manitoba as there is only one university or college program in the province with the University of Manitoba competing in the CIS Canada West Conference.
With this opportunity for the Cougars happening the program has released an initial player commitment announcement and the MFMHL is pleased to announce that Pembina Valley Hawks forward Alyssa Alderson and defense Kenzie Heide have committed to attend ACC and play hockey for the Cougars next season.

BRANDON, MB (Dec 14, 2016) — The Cougar women’s hockey team has strengthened their recruiting class for the 2017-18 American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) season with two players from the Pembina Valley Hawks AAA Midget team.
Alyssa Alderson and Kenzie Heide both hail from Morden, Man., where they compete for the Hawks. They will finish out their midget hockey careers playing on home ice as Morden hosts the Esso Cup AAA Midget Nationals in the spring.
Alyssa Alderson is a strong skater that plays a full 200 foot game. Her natural skating abilities, size (5’9”) and competitive level make her a true power forward. Alderson has proved herself an offensive threat and is in the top 10 in scoring in the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League (MFMHL) this season. The Cougars will be looking for that scoring prowess to continue next season as she joins the team to compete in the ACHA.
Alderson is a true athlete having made the under 18 Team Manitoba hockey top 40, as well as competing in the Manitoba High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) soccer and track & field provincials for Morden Collegiate Institute.
Kenzie Heide is a solid defender in the defensive zone while moving the puck well to offense. She will help to stabilize the Cougars defense in the upcoming season. Heide will add size (5’10”) and grit to the Cougars defense. Her ability to see the ice, read and react to the play will be a welcomed asset to the team.
Heide has also achieved athletic success winning a Provincial title with the Pembina Valley Hawks AAA Bantams and she is a three time Provincial Champion.
Both Alderson and Heide will be taking ACC’s Comprehensive Health Care Aide (CHCA) program in the fall with the intent to enter the Practical Nursing program and play for the Cougars for the next three seasons.

OSWALD COMMITS TO SAIT
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Central Plains Capitals' defense McKenna Oswald has committed to attend school at and play hockey for SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) commencing the fall of 2017. SAIT is located in Calgary Alberta and the Trojans play out of the ACAC (Alberta Collegiate Athletic Conference).
Oswald is in her second year with the Capitals and is known as a stay at home defense who provides the Capitals with solid minutes on the penalty kill and power play. Oswald who lives in Waldersee and attends Glenella High School earned an Academic Recognition Award last season with the Capitals for maintaining a GPA of 90% or better. Oswald was part of the 2015-16 Capitals team that earned a Provincial Silver Medal when they made it to the MFMHL final.

SANDERSON COMMITS TO MOUNT ROYAL

Mount Royal University is located in Calgary Alberta and the Cougars compete in the very tough CIS Canada West Hockey Conference.
Sanderson a third year Wildcat from Melita will entering the Health and Physical Education Program at Mount Royal. Sanderson who is known for her explosive speed, dedication and work ethic has been a great example for her teammates. Sanderson's tremendous work ethic paid off this past season as she was named to Hockey Manitoba's Program of Excellence U18 Team that competed at the National Championship in Regina Sask. this past November. To date this season Sanderson has scored 7 goals and added 7 assists in 26 games played while notching 11 goals and 17 assists in 60 games last season.

Cummings Commits To Olds College
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Norman Wild forward Kali Cummings has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Olds College commencing the fall of 2017. Olds College is located in Olds Alberta and the Broncos play in the Alberta College Athletics Conference.
Cummings hails from Thompson and attends school at RD Parker High School where she has been a Honor Student with distinction over the past 3 years. During her career with the Wild she has been an Assistant Captain before being named team Captain the past 2 seasons. This season Cummings currently leads the Wild in scoring with 8 goals and 6 assists for 14 points in 22 games and in total has played 121 games for the Wild scoring 32 goals while adding 21 assists. Cummings has been a leader for the Wild throughout her career being selected as the team's Hardest Working Player the past 3 seasons while also earning the Coaches Award in 2014-15 and last season being named Most Valuable Player. Cummings who is known for her physical and tenacious style plays big minutes on both the powerplay and penalty kill for the Wild.

PALES COMMITS TO SASKATCHEWAN
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Winnipeg Avros defense/forward Hannah Pales has committed to attend school at and play hockey for the University of Saskatchewan commencing the fall of 2017. The University of Saskatchewan is located in Saskatoon Saskatchewan and the Huskies play in the very tough CIS Canada West Hockey Conference.
Pales who is from Winnipeg and attends Fort Richmond Collegiate plays both forward and defense for the Avros and is known for her physical play and toughness on the puck. During her career with the Avros Pales has played 81 games to date scoring 16 goals and adding 20 assists for 36 points. Pales' ability to play both forward and defense has been a huge asset to the Avros especially on specialty teams. During the past two seasons Pales has made Hockey Manitoba's Program of Excellence Top 40 Camp and has shown her ability to compete at the highest level within Manitoba.

The MFMHL is pleased to announce the that forward Brooke Anderson has committed to attend school at and play hockey for York University commencing the fall of 2017. York University is located in Toronto Ontario and the Lions play in the CIS Ontario University Athletics Conference (OUAC).
Anderson who hails from St. Andrews is the Captain for the Avros and is known for her strong two way play. During her career with the Avros Anderson has played 132 games scoring 19 goals and adding 25 assists for 44 points, to date this season Anderson is second in team scoring with 5 goals and 6 assists for 11 points. This season Anderson has also excelled in the Program of Excellence making the final roster to represent Hockey Manitoba in Regina Sask. at Hockey Canada's U18 National Championship in November.

WARKENTIN COMMITS TO BISONS
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that defense Lauren Warkentin has committed to attend school at and play hockey for the University of Manitoba commencing the 2017-18 season. The University of Manitoba is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba and the Bison’s play in the CIS Canada West Conference making the conference final the past two seasons.
Warkentin who hails from Steinbach is in her fourth season with the Selects and is entering her second season as the team's captain. Warkentin will be representing Hockey Manitoba at the Hockey Canada U18 National Championship this November in Regina after being named to Hockey Manitoba's Program of Excellence final roster. During her career with the Selects Warkentin has played 122 games recording 13 goals and 22 assists. Warkentin who is known for her tenacious play has been named the Selects Rookie of the Year in 2014, Top Defensive Player in 2015 and MVP in 2016. Warkentin is known as a solid defender who contributes offensively and has a relentless work ethic.

DOWHY AND WILD COMMIT
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that goaltenders Kerigan Dowhy ( Interlake Lightning) and McKenna Wild (Central Plains Capitals) have made commitments to attend post-secondary education universities or colleges and play hockey for their programs.
Dowhy who lives in Stonewall has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Bemidji State. Bemidji State is located in Bemidji Minnesota and the Beavers play in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association of the NCAA. Dowhy is entering her third year in the MFMHL having played 2 previous seasons with the Norman Wild. During her midget career Dowhy has been named to the MFMHL First and Second All-star Teams while earning a roster spot the past 2 seasons on Hockey Manitoba's Program of Excellence U18 Provincial Team. This past season Dowhy also attended Hockey Canada's U18 Goalie Development Camp.
Wild who hails from St. Norbert has also played 3 seasons in the MFMHL having played 2 previous seasons with the Eastman Selects prior to finishing with the Capitals.
Wild has committed to attend school at and play hockey for the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology commencing the 2016-17 season. NAIT is located in Edmonton Alberta and the OOKS play in the Alberta College Athletics Conference (ACAC).
Wild had a 26-16-1 record last season posting a 1.55 GAA with a .920 SV% with 8 shutouts helping the Capitals back to the MFMHL Championship Series for the second year in a row. Wild earned MFMHL Player of the Week and MFMHL Goalie of the Month honors once each last season and was named the Capitals Playoff MVP.

The MFMHL is pleased to announce that defense Brielle Dacquay-Neveux and forward Emilie Masse of the Winnipeg Avros have both committed to attend school at and play hockey for the University of Manitoba. The Bisons play in the CIS Canada West Hockey Conference and have made the conference final the past two seasons.
Dacquay-Neveux who hails from Winnipeg was the Avros Rookie of the Year in 2015 and was just named to Hockey Manitoba's Program of Excellence final roster and will compete in the 2016 U18 Hockey Canada National Championship in Regina in November. Dacquay-Neveux is solid defender who is utilized on both the powerplay and penalty kill. Dacquay-Neveux played Bantam for the St. Vital Vics and was a Bantam "AA" All-star in 2013 & 2014.
Masse is also from Winnipeg and is known for her two way play. To date this season Masse has 3 goals and 1 assist and during her career with the Avros as 5 goals and 5 assists. Masse will be representing Hockey Manitoba at the Hockey Canada U18 National Championship this November in Regina after being named to the Program of Excellence final roster. Masse played her Bantam Hockey in Winnipeg for the Saints where she was the teams leading scorer and was named alternate captain for two years while earning "AA" Bantam All-star status.

TARASCHUK COMMITS TO BISONS
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Winnipeg Avros' goalie Lauren Taraschuk has committed to attend school at and play hockey for the University of Manitoba commencing the 2017-18 season. The Bison's are members of the CIS Canada West Hockey Conference and have made the conference finals the past two seasons.
Taraschuk who is from Winnipeg is a two time MFMHL First Team All-star earning this recognition with the Central Plains Capitals in 2015 when she helped lead them to the MFMHL and Provincial "AAA" Championship before earning this award again last season with the Avros. Taraschuk has amassed an impressive record in her two seasons in the MFMHL going 18-3 with the Capitals including the post season while having a GAA of 1.00 and SV% of .957. Taraschuk continued to excel with the Avros where last season she went 13-11-2-3 with a GAA of 1.44 and SV% of.947. Taraschuk has been named MFMHL Player of the Week as well as Goalie on the Month two times each in the past two seasons. Taraschuk was the Capitals Playoff MVP in 2015 and last season was the Avros MVP. Taraschuk has also excelled at the Hockey Manitoba Program of Excellence level making it through to the Final 28 stage of the program the past two seasons. Known for her competitive level and ability to make saves and control rebounds Taraschuk has been the top netminder in the MFMHL the past two seasons

MATULA COMMITS TO NORTHLANDS COLLEGE
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Eastman Selects forward Robyn Matula has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Northlands College commencing the 2016-17 season. Northlands College is located in Ashland Wisconsin and the Lumberjills play NCAAA in the NCHA (Northern Collegiate Hockey Association).
Matula played in 119 games for the Selects scoring 22 goals and adding 14 assists for 36 points. Matula was a Honor Student at Niverville Collegiate where she also captained the varsity basketball team, played soccer and ran track. Matula will be competing for Team Manitoba Ball Hockey at Nationals in Vancouver this summer.

DUNDAS COMMITS TO POST UNIVERSITY
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Piage Dundas of the Eastman Selects has committed to attend school and play hockey for Post University located in Waterbury Connecticut commencing the fall of 2017. The Eagles play out of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.
Dundas who plays both forwad and defense has played a total of 85 games for the Selects registering 4 goals and 7 assists for 11 points. Dundas is a Honor Student at St. Annes Collegiate who was also named the Athlete of the year in her Grade 9 and 10 years. Known for her steady and very competitive style Dundas is an example for her teammates to follow when it comes to being dedicated to her team.

Heppner Commits to Nipissing University
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Pembina Valley Hawks forward Katelyn Heppner has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Nipissing University commencing the 2017-18 season. Nipissing University is located in North Bay Ontario and the Lakers play in the OUA (Ontario University Athletics) hockey conference.
Heppner an Alternate Captain with the Hawks is from Winkler and is entering her final year with the Hawks. During her first two seasons Heppner scored 23 goals and added 54 assists for 77 points while playing 136 games. Heppner is a physical and fast forward who won a silver medal at the 2014 Manitoba Games and this past season made the Top 40 Camp for Hockey Manitoba's Program of Excellence. Heppner will be a key player for the Hawks during the upcoming season as they preapre to host the 2017 Hockey Canada Esso Cup National Championships.

DEARSLEY COMMITS TO ALBERTA
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Pembina Valley Hawks Forward Chelsea Dearsley has committed to attend school at and play hockey for the University of Alberta commencing the 2016-17 season. The University of Alberta is located in Edmonton Alberta and the Pandas play in the CIS Canada West Hockey Conference.
Dearsley who is from Baldur was a three year player for the Hawks amassed 67 goals and 76 assists for 143 points while playing 209 games. Dearsley was an Alternate Captain during her final season with the Hawks and her strong two way play was an example for her younger teammates to follow. Known for her tenacious style and commitment to team first play Dearsley was part of two MFMHL Championship teams and also won a Gold Medal at the 2014 Manitoba Games with Westman.

ELISHA OSWALD COMMITS TO SAIT
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Central Plains Capitals goaltender Elisha Oswald has committed to attend school at and play hockey for SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) commencing the fall of 2016. SAIT is located in Calgary Alberta and the Trojans play in the Alberta Colleges Athletics Conference ( ACAC).
Oswald was a 3 year goalie for the Capitals and during her time with the team set records for games played 88, minutes played 5043 and wins 41 while posting a save % of .914 and GAA of 1.93. Oswald was an Academic Achievement and Coaches Award winner during her time with the Capitals. The past two season Oswald played in the Manitoba Junior Womens Hockey League in Winnipeg where she had an 11-1 record, save % of .958 and GAA of 0.83 and was part of the 2014-15 Northern Stars team that won the league championship.
