The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Westman Wildcats 3rd year defense Jessica Walker has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Lindenwood University - Belleville Lynx in the fall of 2018.

2 CHIEFS COMMIT
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Yellowhead Chiefs forward Morgan Ramsay has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Mount Royal University commencing the fall of 2018. Mount Royal University is located in Calgay Alberta and the Cougard play in the very competitive Canada West Hockey Conference of Canada USports.
Ramsay has had three stellar years with the Yellowhead Chiefs, tallying an impressive MFMHL point count of 30 goals and 37 assists. With her trademark speed and fearless attitude, Ramsay took the Chiefs by surprise in her first year with a notable 16 goals and 12 assists. Ramsay earned the Chiefs’ ‘Rookie of the Year’ honours and finished the season as a MHMFL Champion. Ramsay was named as Captain during her final season and also earned a position with Team Manitoba’s U18 squad.
Ramsay is from Rivers, Manitoba and will graduate from Rivers Collegiate Institute this spring and pursue a Bachelor of Health & Physical Education degree looking to Major in a Physical Literacy.

QUESNEL COMMITS TO OLDS
The MFMH is pleased to announce Yellowhead Chiefs forward Megan Quesnel has committed to attend school at and play for Olds College. Olds College is located in Olds Alberta and the Broncos play in the Alberta College Athletic Conference (ACAC).
Quesnel lead the Chiefs’ in offence completing the season with most overall points with 14 goals and 10 assists. Quesnel previously played for the Norman Wild and in 2016/17 led the team with 9 goals 8 assists. Quesnel was named the 2016/17 Norman Wild Rookie of the Year also earned the MFMHL ‘Most Sportsmanlike Player’. Quesnel is a rugged two-way player, a playmaker and a talented goal scorer.
Quesnel is a student of Dauphin Regional Comprehensive Secondary School, maintains a mid 80s average and completed last year, grade 11, with ‘Honours with Distinction’. uesnel will be studying in the Business program at Olds College.

WICKHAM COMMITS TO MINOT STATE
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Westman Wildcats' forward Haley Wickham, a 3rd year Wildcat from Waskada, MB, has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Minot State University commencing the fall of 2018. Minot State University is located in Minot North Dakota and the Beavers play in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA).
In 28 MFMHL games last season Wickham scored 6 goals and added 2 assists for 8 points while overall in 58 games last season she scored 9 goals and added 5 assist for 14 points. To date this season in 30 league games Wickham has 3 goals and 7 assists for 10 points while in 53 games overall she has recorded 7 goals and 12 assists for 19 points. During her career with the Wildcats Wickham has played in 175 total games and recorded 26 goals and 23 assists for 49 points.

She will get a chance to play an important role and I am confident that she will excel both on the ice, and in the classroom.” Minot State University (MSU or MiSU) is a four-year institution of higher learning in Minot, North Dakota. Founded in 1913 as a normal school, Minot State University is the third-largest university in North Dakota, offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Three colleges comprise the university’s academic offerings: Arts and Sciences, Business, and Education and Health Sciences. Nine master's degrees and one education specialist degree are offered in such areas as communication disorders, management, and mathematics. SUMALING COMMITS TO RED DEER
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Winnipeg Avros forward Jessi Sumaling has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Red Deer College commencing the fall of 2018. Red Deer College is located in Red Deer Alberta and the Queens play in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference.
Sumaling who hails from Linden is in her fifth MFMHL season playing the past two with the Avros where she scored 17 goals and added 35 assists in 118 games. Sumaling is known for speed and ability to pressure her opponents into mistakes with her relentless pressure on the puck in all three zones. During her time with the Avros Sumaling has been known for her work ethic and solid 200' game leading to her earning time in key situations on both the penalty kill and power play.
Sumaling has made positive impressions outside of the Avros organization as well with her talent and work ethic earning a spot of Hockey Manitoba's U18 Program of Excellence roster that attended the 2017 Hockey Canada U18 National Championship last November.

The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Yellowhead Chiefs' defense Erica McIntosh has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Assiniboine Community College commencing the fall of 2018. ACC is located in Brandon Manitoba and the Cougars play in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). The Cougars play in the Division II American Collegiate Hockey Association, Western Region, competing with teams across North America.
McIntosh is an imposing defenseman whose edgy play often exaggerates her 5’9” stature. McIntosh is a strong skater with a quick release and punishing slap-shot. Defensively McIntosh rarely looks down to intercept the opponents rush, and her tough physical play generates excitement and energizes her teammates. McIntosh leads the Chiefs in penalty minutes.
McIntosh hails from Neepawa and attends Neepawa Area Collegiate Institute, she is enrolled in the Medical Administration program at ACC. The Medical Administration program will be the first of a few charted education steps towards her career goal in the Emergency Services Field as a Paramedic.

PETRIE COMMITS TO RED DEER COLLEGE
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Pembina Valley Hawk's forward Hannah Petrie has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Red Deer College commencing the fall of 2018. Red Deer College is located in Red Deer Alberta and the Queens play in the ACAC (Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference).
Petrie an honour student who hails from Carman plans on studying Education at Red Deer. Petrie a third year Hawk was named Assistant Captain this season and currently is third in team scoring with 13 goals and recorded 22 assists for 35 points in 37 this season. For her career Petrie has played 148 games for the Hawks scoring 34 goals and adding 43 assists. Last season Petrie was instrumental in the playoffs netting 2 game winning goals in the Hawks’ MFMHL playoff run including the double-OT winner that clinched the MFMHL championship. Petrie played in the 2017 Hockey Canada Esso Cup National Midget championship where her Hawks lost in the bronze medal game after winning the MFMHL and Hockey Manitoba “AAA” Championship. Petrie received a Player of the Game Award at the Esso Cup.

BONCHUK COMMITS TO OLDS COLLEGE
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Yellowhead Chief’s defense Rayna Bonchuk has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Olds College commencing the fall of 2018. Olds College is located in Olds Alberta and the Broncos play in the ACAC ( Alberta College Athletic Conference).
Bonchuk an Assistant Captain with the Chiefs is known for her work ethic, sportsmanship and for leading by example. Bonchuk who is a third year Chief including being a member of the MFMHL Champions in her first season. Bonchuk is a hardworking defense who can contribute offensively especially with her ability to move the puck through the neutral zone, jump into an offensive play and to quarterback the attack from the blueline.
Bonchuk hails from the rural area of Birtle Mb attending Birtle Collegiate Institute where she is an accomplished student with a 94% CPA and earning the 2016/17 Gold Award of Excellence in Academic Achievement Bonchuk has been named the Birtle Collegiate Female Athlete of the Year and last season was named the Chief's Most Improved Player. Bonchuk plans on studying in the Agricultural Management department at Olds College and looks to return to Manitoba to assist with the family farm.

HUBBARD COMMITS TO REGINA
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Westman Wildcats forward Paige Hubbard has committed to attend school at and play hockey for the University of Regina commencing the fall of 2019. The University of Regina is located in Regina Saskatchewan and the Cougars play out of the tough USport Canada West Hockey Conference.
Hubbard, a grade 11 student, hails from Brandon where she is on the Honour Roll at Vincent Massey Collegiate and is looking to continue her eduction at Regina by working towards an Education Degree. During her career to date with the Wildcats Hubbard has played in 130 games recording 26 goals and 39 points for 65 points. This season Hubbard has scored 14 goals and added 15 assists for 29 points which is tied for tops on the Wildcats. Hubbard is an extremely versatile forward who can play all three positions adding speed and heads up play in all situations. Hubbard's offensive and overall play has led to her being utilized by the Wildcats in key situations playing big minutes on both the powerplay and penalty kill.

The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Eastman Selects and Yellowhead Chiefs goalies Raygan Kirk and Tori Eilers have committed to post-secondary hockey programs.
Raygan Kirk a second year goaltender with the Selects has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Robert Morris University commencing the fall of 2019. Robert Morris University is located in Pittsburgh Pa and the Colonials play at the NCAA D1 level in the College America Hockey Conference. Kirk who hails from Ste Anne has compiled a career record with the Selects of 21-22-6 while recording a .911 Save% and 1.85 GAA. Kirk has earned Most Dedicated Player and Scholastic Awards while with the Selects and was a grade 10 Honour Roll Student. Known for her strong work ethic, focus and athletic ability in the net Kirk gives the Selects a chance to win whenever she is between the pipes.

Tori Eilers in her second year with the Yellowhead Chiefs has committed to attend school at and play hockey for Olds College commencing the fall of 2018. Olds College is located in Olds Alberta and the Broncos play in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference.
Eilers entered the MFMHL in the 2015/16 season playing for the Norman Wild where she earned accolades for her goaltending prowess. Eilers joined the Yellowhead Chiefs in the 2016-17 season posting an impressive 1.92 goals against average & .922 save percentage. This season Eilers asserted herself early by earning MFMHL Goalie of the Month for October. Eilers has a 5-4-1-1 record in this year’s extremely competitive league standings and currently posts a 2.14 goals against average and a .927 save percentage. Eilers hails from Virden and is a three time honours student who attends Virden Collegiate High School.
Olds College specializes in agri-business courses and Eilers plans on studying in the agricultural department and looks to return to Manitoba to begin her own business.

SLATOR COMMITS TO NAIT
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Westman Wildcats' goalie Kaitlyn Slator has committed to attend school at and play hockey for MAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) commencing the fall of 2018. NAIT is located in Edmonton Alberta and the Ooks play in the ACAC (Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference).
Slator a third year WIldcat from Brandon has so far in 4 starts this season in MFMHL play posted 2 wins and 1 overtime loss, a 1.24 goals against average and a .946 save percentage while being 5-3-1 overall for the Wildcats with a 1.38 GAA and .946 Save %. In 15 starts during league play last year Slator posted a 12-3 record with a 1.53 goals against average and a .931 save percentage.

McElroy-Scott Commits to UNB
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Pembina Valley Hawks' forward Sage McElroy-Scott has committed to attend school at and play hockey for the University of New Brunswick commencing the fall of 2018. The University of New Brunswick is located in Fredericton New Brunswick and the Varsity Reds play in the Atlantic University Sport Conference of Canadian U-Sport.
McElroy-Scott who hails from Morden, Manitoba is currently the second leading scorer with Pembina Valley this season and during her career has scored 100 goals and added 88 assists in 213 games. Last season, McElroy-Scott finished as the team’s leading scorer. McElroy-Scott is the Hawks' captain and her hockey resume includes a trip to last year’s Hockey Canada Esso Cup National Midget Championship where the Hawks lost in the bronze medal game after winning the MFMHL and Hockey Manitoba Midget AAA Championship. McElroy-Scott was selected as a MFMHL All-star in 2016-17 and made Hockey Manitoba's Program of Excellence Top 40 Camp. McElroy-Scott has been one of the leading point getters in the MFMHL over the past 2 seasons. McElroy-Scott plans on studying Kinesiology and Education at UNB .

OSWALD COMMITS TO ALBERTA
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Pembina Valley Hawks' goaltender Halle Oswald has committed to attend school at and play hockey for the University of Alberta commencing the fall of 2018. The University of Alberta is located in Edmonton Alberta with the Panda’s competing in the tough U Sports Canada West Hockey Conference and are currently ranked #2 in the country. The Pandas are the defending U Sports National Champions and have won 8 National titles, the most of any team in U Sport history.
Oswald who hails from Sanford and attends Sanford Collegiate is entering her 3rd and final year with the Hawks and to date during her career has amassed a record of 58-24-5 with 18 shutouts while posting an excellent GAA of 1.49 with a solid .945 Save %. Oswald has had a great 12 months back stopping the Hawks to the MFMHL Championship and earning the Top Goalie Award at the 2017 Hockey Canada Esso Cup National Championship before earning stops on both Team Manitoba's and Team Canada"s U18 Rosters. Known for her athletic and never give up style of play Oswald has emerged as one of the top goalies in the MFMHL.

DONDO COMMITS TO MONTREAL
The MFMHL is please to announce that Winnipeg Avros defense Breanne Dondo has committed to attend school at the Universite de Montreal and play hockey for the Carabins commencing the fall of 2018. Universite de Montreal is located in Montreal Quebec while the Carabins play in the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec ( RESQ - Quebec Student Sports Network) of the Canadian USports. Dondo becomes the first Manitoban to play for the Carabin who are currently #9 in the National Rankings.
Dondo who hails from Winnipeg where she attends College Louis Riel is in her third year with the Avros and has just returned from representing Hockey Manitoba at the U18 National Championship in Quebec City. During her career Dondo has played 134 games for the Avros and to date has registered 25 points on 5 goals and 20 assists. She is known for her mobility and solid ability to escape pressure and move the play out of her own end. Dondo plays large minutes for the Avros being utilized on both the power play and penalty kill.

SNAITH COMMITS TO MANITOBA
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Central Plains Capitals Defense Chloe Snaith has committed to attend school at and play hockey for the University of Manitoba commencing the fall of 2018. The University of Manitoba is located in Winnipeg and the Bisons currently ranked 6th in Canadian U-Sports play hockey in the tough Canada West Hockey Conference,
Snaith a third year Capital who hails from and attends high school in MacGregor was selected as Capitals' Captain for the upcoming season as she provides her team with both on and off ice leadership. Snaith is known for her smooth skating and strong two way play contributing not only defensively but on the offensive end of the ice playing important roles on both the power-play and penalty kill. During her career to date Snaith has 15 goals and 35 assists while earning Most Valuable Player (2017), Best Defensive (2016-17) and Academic Achievement Awards (2017) with the Capitals. Snaith also excelled within Hockey Manitoba's Program of Excellence making it to the Final 27 Selection Camp.

CLYNE COMMITS TO REGINA
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Westman Wildcat forward Camryn Clyne has committed to attend school at the University of Regina and play hockey for the Cougars commencing the fall of 2018. The University of Regina is located in Regina Saskatchewan and the Cougars play in the tough USport Canada West Hockey Conference.
Clyne a 3rd year Wildcat from Boissevain, MB, is an assistant-captain with the Wildcats this year. Last season Clyne played In 22 league games notching 5 goals and adding 7 assists for 12 points while overall playing 49 games scoring 10 goals plus adding 14 assist for 24 points. So far this season, in 5 games Clyne has 2 goals. Overall, during her Wildcats career Clyne has played in 111 games and recorded 19 goals and 27 assists.
From Coach Hodges of the Regina Cougars, “I think Cammy’s speed and intelligence will allow her to transition quickly to the Canada West level. We work really hard to try to find great people for our program, and I feel that Cammy is a great fit for our program and our school and will represent the U of R with pride.”

The MFMHL is pleased to announce that goaltender Danielle Bonot-Schmidt has committed to attend school at and play hockey for the University of Calgary Dinos commencing the fall of 2018. The Dinos play in the very tough U Sports (CIS) Canada West Hockey Conference. Bonot-Schmidt who is from Winnipeg and attends St. Marys Academy is entering her third year with the Avros and is currently still part of Team Manitoba's Top 27 roster. Coming off a solid season last year sporting a 1.40 GAA and a .925 save percentage (in 32 games), Bonot-Schmidt is known for her athleticism and puck tracking abilities and will be relied on heavily by the Avros this year.

Tori Williams Commits to Mount Royal
The MFMHL is pleased to announce that Westman Wildcats defense Tori Williams has committed to attend school at and play hockey for the Mount Royal University (MRU) Cougars in the fall of 2018. Mount Royal University located in Calgary Alberta is a member of the Canada West Conference of the USPORT (formerly the CIS Canadian Interuniversity Sport).
Williams lives and attends school in Souris where she attained Honor Roll staus. In 28 league games last year Tori had 5 goals, 12 assists for 17 points. Overall, in 57 games last season, Tori scored 16 goals and added 21 assists for 37 points. During her Wildcats career, she has played 175 games and recorded 60 points. Williams is a solid defender who contributes offensively and was selected to Hockey Manitoba's U18 Final
